LES School Counseling Program
Hello, LES family and friends! My name is Monica Hardin, and I am excited to be serving as the school counselor for LES this year! I have worked in the Moore County School System for over 20 years, and I love our schools and community. This year I will be working with students through classroom guidance lessons, in small groups, and individually. Some of the topics we will be working on include friendship skills, goal-setting, character education (respect, responsibility, kindness, etc), and personal safety. Throughout the school year, we will be practicing the "7 Habits of Happy Kids" using the program, Leader in Me. This initiative is being used throughout our elementary school. The mission of LES's School Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive approach that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social developmental needs of all students in a safe and nurturing environment. We are committed to partnering with stakeholders to provide evidence-based support to empower student growth and build skills for life-long learning.
