Student and Parent Orientation 

2022-2023


Lynchburg Elementary School will be hosting a student and parent orientation night on Friday, August 5th. Parents and students please plan to come and meet your teacher at the designated times below. Then be sure to stop by the gym for additional school information. Be mindful of the times below, as we have been strategic in our planning to help with traffic flow at LES. Friendly reminder, do not park in the fire lane near the building just in case our emergency vehicles are needed throughout the night. If you are not able to join us, your student will receive all information on the first day of classes. 


Kindergarten, VPK, and Pre-K 4:30-5:30 PM

1st, 3rd, and 5th Grades 5:30-6:30 PM

2nd, 4th, and 6th Grades 6:30-7:30 PM


*Elementary School students DO NOT come to school the morning of August 5th. Only MCHS/MS  attend on this abbreviated morning.  

*Class lists will be posted at the front of the school on August 1st at 3:00 p.m.

Our Friday Backpack program provides students with a sack of non-perishable food to bring home for the weekend.                   
Food is delivered to the child's classroom or directly to their bus in the afternoon. If your child participated last year, they will continue to receive food this year. If you feel your child would benefit please contact Mrs. Monica Hardin, LES School Counselor at [email protected].
 
 
 
MCS Foundational Literacy Skills Plan 
 
This Foundational Literacy Skills Plan has been approved by the Tennessee Department of Education and meets the requirements of the Tennessee Literacy Success Act. All portions of the Foundational Literacy Skills plan were submitted to the department and approved. To view the supplemental artifacts, please contact the district directly.

Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the family engagement programs and activities in our school system. The focus of all Title I programs is to help eligible students meet the same high academic achievement standards expected of all children, regardless of their socioeconomic status and background. The following survey is confidential and will be used to assist us with future planning for parent and family engagement activities and events.
